I guess 2's my fav as it still has the definition in the water (a matter of taste I know). I like the H2O travelling through the frame two.

Thanks Robert, I like yours as well - especially how the water "streaks" in the front there - that is water right? And what mistakes did you think you made? My eye does not discern. I see that you had to shrink the aperture all the way to f/22 to get that shutter speed. You should use an ND filter, makes it much easier!
Yeah, I wasn't in love with my third shot either, didn't look so good zoomed in.

I'm not a fan of the "shooting down" from a normal height perspective.
I would have loved to see a shot of this image with a 2 stop neutral density filter, a wide angle lens perspective, and real low to the ground.
There is so much character in that canal.
I should spend more time in the galleries section I think. I really like the third shot from both Eddie and Gone Tomorrow (a long time ago).
Eddie, I think the first two are not as strong because they do not fill the frame and the vegetation blocks the view of the water and breaks it up. The last one has an unbroken view, fills the frame, and has a general triangle shape, which creates a strong composition. It is very good.
Here are 2 shots, in B&W, of a man-made waterfall that I visit every so often in a nearby park at different times in the day.
I get treated to changing light conditions.
These are very small waterfalls, but were flowing rapidly after a week of rain. It was very bright out, making me realize that my .9 ND filter isn't dark enough. Nevertheless, did the best I could with these:
