Unusual perspective! I really like the idea of you laying on the ground to get that shot ...

Thanks a bunch toriaj. I didn't lay on the ground myself, the camera did . I didn't have a tripod so I just set it on the ground.

Here is another one from my trip. The colours on this one is not as vivid as I would like. I think this waterfall is around 1000ft it was very beautiful. Comments welcomed.

That's a beautiful shot! If you print it, let me know how it comes out. When I tried to print really white water like that, it didn't work very well, even though it looks great on the screen. What a beautiful area.

Esoterra and pbt1234, thanks for the tip about using the self-timer on the tripod. I went to another waterfall yesterday, and it worked great! The shots look much better. And I found that speeds around 1/8 sec to 1/20 sec were enough to blur the water nicely, but I don't think they're blown. I'll post some pics soon. The input I've received on this forum is helping me a lot!

TJG - I really love the first shot and agree with your assessment of the second. However, I believe to be very hard to take a photo like that in bright light and not have the very look that you got or worse. Most of the time mine are worse. Keep up the great work!

toriaj - glad to hear that those things helped. I am by no means an expert, but have taken a few of those waterfall shots (actually my favorite). I plan to visit more on Monday if there are no changes in plans. Hopefully get to see some new water and will have more to post on my website.

Those are beautiful pictures. My favorite was #10 on Eastatoe Falls. And the shots catching the rainbow in the waterfall are really special!

I like this picture. Leaves on the moss covered rocks really adds to the picture. Nice job blurring the water.

Taughannock Falls, Ulysses, NY

The main fall is 215 ft high, taller than Niagara Falls. The gorge walls rise to nearly 400 ft from the basin.
