    The Vivid seems to also add a bit of sharpening to the shot - which helps in this instance. It is usefull having all these tweeks - as long as we all know the effects and can manage them when it matters. I also like the other contribution with the compensation ~ I would say just about right - any more might have been too much as it's so easy to wash out detail with white. Well done to both.
    Doing these comparisons of various tweeks and settings is really helpfull - I've been doing the same with my new camera and carefully reviewing the differences - it really helps if you know instinctively when to do a quick tweek - I took a picture yesterday of an old friend doing my garden and talking to my daughter - in the low afternoon sun which was quite contrasty. Having seen the results of the complete contrast range I was able to quickly change the contrast to get the best out of a difficult lighting.

    Thanks Geoff. I too like the results of the Vivid setting with the A95. As soon as we can get some decent sunny days I'll work on some more.
