Thanks Adam. Took it wide open at ISO 1600. f/2.8 and clean high ISO would have been nice.

That's a pretty cool lighthouse you shot too Lukas. Definately a light house Spectacular B&W.

Great job. Light houses are awesome, but I almost never see them. Here's a recent one. Though it's more the background than the subject.

Raven any information on the light behind you?
Unfortunately living here in the desert my lighthouses are few and far between.
Hopefully, the first of the year I'll be back home in San Jose.

It's in Qingdao (aka Tsingtao) China and was originally built by the Germans when they occupied the city. The signs officially proclaim how bad and horrible the Germans were for doing that, but on the other hand the city is now known world wide for its beer.
It's OK, surrounded by dense trees that make it hard to get a shot from many angles. But it actually looks pretty good.
