Now that is obscure. I wonder how they powered it before solar panels? It must be the one, year around, sunny spot, in Washington.

Thanks for adding these to the thread.

Making anything into a bar is a perfectly natural progression, especially for someone with my country's reputation for fondness for the demon drink (hic). Even for landlubbers like me.

Yes even WP's are welcome aboard.

Jamie, some of your best to date. I'm willing to bet that the recipients were very pleased. The group shot on the bridge has got to be a winner. I have a feeling that had the lighthouse been in focus the couple would have been unhappy campers.

And there is just enough lighthouse to qualify.

The perfect lead in to jamison55's contribution. Coincidentally similar to the fine Irish snake bite remedy that I take whenever I feel a "bite" is immenent. After all, one cannot be too careful out here in the desert.

Your tartan cousins to the North and and East, accross the Irish Sea, make some of my other favorite remedies for for bites from desert critters such as scorpions, and Gila Monsters. I find that these fine remedies also work best before being bitten. (during, and after, and especially not-at-all, also works).

I know I haven't posted much here - but it's an interesting thread none the less.
On my recent holiday in La Rochelle - we spotted they had a few unusual lighthouses - so here are a few of the pics: -

Finally a real old one over the other side of town
Bit out of focus I'm afraid as I was messin' with focus modes and didn't check at the time.
