    Point Montara Light

This lighthouse sits about 25 miles south of San Francisco, and the keeper's quarters are now a youth hostel. I peeked into the common room, and it's quite nice. A gaggle of Girl Scouts was moving in for a stay while I was there...

EAP, Thanks for this shot! Point Montera is not one of the better known lights on the SF Peninsula (like Pidgeon Point in Santa Cruz).

    Lots O' lights

Here is a page with several lighthouse photos. Although I prefer our local contributors shots, this is a pretty nice compilation...

A very nice compilation. Here's my shot of the Point Bonita Lighthouse, which I also visited this past weekend. Same angle as in the compilation! It was so windy that they closed the suspension bridge to the light; my friend and I were among the last to go over.

Great shot! Bonita is one of my favorites, mainly due to the bridge. Makes this lighthouse pretty unique.

    Thanks.
