Sorry, I was trying to be humorous, and get some history on the light, but thanks for sharing your personal profile as well. I assume the commission is Air Force(?)... The cat I assume is leaning toward the Marines or Navy... Ham...

Hmm. How far from the castle is the lighthouse in st Augustine? I was going to do that lighthouse myself while I'm on my honeymoon there (in about 2 weeks time).

Not too far...sorry I don't know the exact streetnames, but take the road that has the Castle on it down a couple blocks to a drawbridge.
The castle should be on the lefthand side of the road if you're going the correct way to the bridge. Make a left onto the bridge and follow the road until you see "Lighthouse Road". Make a left onto lighthouse road and it will take you through a windy neighborhood to the lighthouse and museum. Probably about 3 or 4 miles away if you're interested.
Go in the morning, because the sun will be in the way in the evening...unless you want to use that effect. Hope this helps!
