I guess I got lucky with mine. Either that or I haven't shot enough with it to notice anything wrong lol

That d600 certainly seemed prone to issues.
i shouldn't say this but of all the cameras and lens' I've owned I've never had a single failure.

Well, I had to send mine in for service. Hopefully cleaning the sensor and changing the shutter will do the trick.
I'll let you all know if it's all resolved before this site goes read-only.

Well, Nikon says they are going to replace the shutter and clean the sensor. Let's hope by this point they can get this fixed the first time with a D600. I know some folks had to send theirs in several times.
I hate to say this, but I already miss it. I still have my D90, and while it's a pretty good camera, I can tell a big difference in my shots between the cameras, using the same lenses. So I hope it comes back and it's all fixed.
Some folks are bugging Nikon to get theirs exchanged for a D610. I'm not sure I care that much at this point. For what I shoot, the D600 is just fine.

I believe that Nikon have now agreed to do that in the USA to settle a class action against them.

From what I understand, you had to have been already registered with the law firm leading the class action suit prior to the settlement to qualify for the replacement. However, I've also heard that people that have had to send their D600 more than 2 times for repairs can ask and usually get a replacement D610.
