    Adobe Photoshop CC

    Hi guys,

Anyone out there using Photoshop CC yet? Looks like CS6 is the end of the PS ownership line.

    Thanks.

I have the Photographers bundle (Photoshop CC plus Lightroom plus some other stuff) for $10/ month. It's a bargain IMO.

Thanks. Guess I'll give it a shot. Looks like the $9.99 is an intro special as in the reviews it goes for $19.99.

It was supposed to be an intro price but Adobe keep extending the "intro" period. I believe that it is the actual price and if they try to increase it there will be the biggest anti Adobe campaign possible on the Internet from photographers. They are collecting $10 per month on a product that probably owes them cents per seat and while we all know Adobes greed this deal was forced on them by photographers largely boycotting CC mark 1 and demanding a more realistic deal.
There are plenty of non Adobe alternatives available now for post processing you can even process RAW files on line for free on Picassa. Adobe have a fight on their hands at long last and it's bringing them to realistic prices.
As far as the $19 side of things is concerned I think you are looking at the wrong deal. What you want is the Photographers Bundle that consists of Photoshop CC, Lightroom and Behance. AFAIK the $19 is the entry level deal for the creative suite.

Thanks for the detail Rich. I saw this as a lower cost opportunity to see if I really need PS and LR. I primarily use NX-2 because it is quick, and gives relatively good control for Nikon based images.

First I have to switch over to Win 7.

I assume that you know the Nikon have released a beta version on NX2s replacement and that it is going to be free.
I think it's called NXD or something. Check DPReview I saw it there.

While it's bad to knock a freebie I believe Nikon missed the boat in my opinion, after lots of problems trying to run a legal early version of NX2 on 64 bit I gave it over and embraced Lightroom, I couldn't go back now. Early on I had loved NX and wouldn't have changed if I hadn't had the problems.

nxd is problematic in many ways in my trials. i'll stick with nx2.
personally i don't use LR for NEF's cos it wont import my incam settings and i hate PP.

i have CC and its brilliant.

Yes I saw that as I was perusing Jeff's preview of the D4s. I'm starting to see a disturbing lack of innovation pattern in Nikon's newer products. i.e D610, D4s, NX-whatever. Hopefully this is just a lull.

In the early part of the 21st century for manufacturers it's innovate or die and there are two major players in the camera industry who are definitely not innovating.
