Lion dance (Chinese New Year 2014 - Year of the Horse)

When I was young, I was so fascinated with Chinese lion dance. So I present to you PROJECT LION DANCE. Shots were taken at Cabramatta, in south-western Sydney.

It's the year of the horse!

It's funny how these lions don't look so huge and intimidating like the way I used to see them when I was a small boy.

What a spectacle Tim. Those shots really give a feel for something I'd not even heard of. I can see why you were so fascinated. Thanks for posting. Oh and well done for starting a new thread. Not been many new ones here for a while.

Nice shots, I can tell that it is a challenge to be jumping and dancing in those lion costumes.
