viewing posted photos on android tablets.

Hi guys. As a recent convert to Android (goodby iTunes), I have noticed that attached images don't appear, but site linked do. Is there a setting I'm missing?

    Thanks.

P.S. The Hisense Sero 7 Pro is pretty unbelievable for $149. Gotta love the HD display and micro HDMI output...

Yeah, do yourself a favor and dump the stock browser. Get Dolphin.

Actually using Mozilla. Still doesn't work, but will try Dolphin. Thanks DSCC.

I have no problems on either my Nexus 7 or Nook HD+. It might be that you need to force it to desktop agent mode. I use Dolphin, Chrome and Firefox fairly interchangeably. The nice thing in Dolphin is being able to tell GoGo inflight that I am an iPhone when I signon, saves $3/hour. Then convert back to full desktop once my MAC address is registered.

Hmmmm, I'm trying to remember if I had any issues with displaying on my Android tablets, but I don't think I ever did. Since I got my iPad, I haven't even looked at my droids...

Since I use the tablet primarily for entertainment, I find the ability to use the DivX codec very handy, as well as not having to go through the BS of connecting through iTunes. No more double conversion to H.264. I also bought the Sero 7 Pro with the idea of connecting to flat panel TV's for display of photos using the very handy mico HDMI port.

Using Dolphin does allow for some attached images here (DCRP) but still not all. Ken, thanks not sure I know how to force desktop agent but will looki it up. It's possible that the 7" tablets have some weird limitation as this happens with the N2A converted (and non-converted) Nook Color as well.

    D70Fan,

If there is a particular thread that is giving you fits I will be glad to test it with any of the various tablets and browsers I have available.

Thanks Ken, Just having problems with DCRP as once I leave the start page everything seems to be abbreviated. I can see Rich's photo's which are linked, but not all photo's which are uploaded to the site. Actually all are showing up except Falcon and Dread.

I just see a notation at the bottom left of the thread saying "attached images".

The whole DCR site is crap for mobile devices. there are pop up ads and all sorts of rubbish that makes it difficult to use. iOS devices are not better in that respect than Android ones. The problem is the site not the device.

So I went to the Nixon DSLR photo of the day to page 1706. On my nexus 7 Chrome displays yours, Tim11 and falconest's images no problem. Dolphin was fine, but I have it set to 'user agent' desktop mode, when I set it for default of Android, falconest's no longer show. Same was true for Firefox. To change Dolphin to desktop go to the dolphin menu select more, settings. You will see the user agent option there.
