    Should the forums stay open?

In lieu of creating a private forum on dpreview, I can always keep these forums open. What do you all think?

Jeff, there is a lot of history in this forum. Seems a true shame to just blow it all away.

Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Although I may not be a frequent poster, I am a frequent visitor. I would very much like to see the forums remain open.

Keeping these forums open is nice...but is there a significant cost to you Jeff?

    Jeff,

If it does not have a negative financial impact on you, then I am for keeping the forums open. Oterwise you should do what is best for you.

I'm never warmed up to DPreview so I'd like to see these forums stay open if possible...

It's a yes from me.However I think you have to decide Jeff whether the cost and time involved in keeping the forums open is justified by what is now in reality a very low level of activity. If it does not I would understand. Whatever your decision I hope that somehow the wealth of knowledge accumulated in these forums over the years could remain accessible.
