    He was only a baby 3-4" inches across. I had a nice 10 km or so ride on the dashboard before I stopped and dropped him into some grass at the edge of the forest. Huntsmen are harmless.

    Harmless is not the issue. It's an 'icky bug' thing and bigger is never better in bugs. I think they are just fine.
