I like the picture quality, but not wild about the pricing.

A D7000 body and 35 f1.4 lens from B&H is around $1300 MORE expensive. What is your issue with price?

Oh, I agree that is a decent price for this based on list, but I still think it is too high an entry point for a mirrorless system with limited lenses.

Wow. Ok. Fair enough. I can see your point but have to say I'm surprised.

I guess spending a thousand dollars to have a mirror flapping up and down is worthwhile to some. Fuji are not new players in the game they are one of the most respected high end lens makers around with the Fujinon products winning many awards over the years in the film and medical imaging fields. Check somewhere like Wikipedia and see what the range of their products is you will be staggered to see that you in many ways outclasses the likes of Nikon and Canon.
In less than 12 months Fuji has introduced 4 lenses for the X series cameras and every one has been optically far better than similar offerings from the main players and their road map through to the end of 2013 includes 6 more lenses to give a total of 10 lenses in 2 years. The SLOWEST lens Fuji will be introducing is a 55-200 zoom that will be f3.5-f4.8. Compare that to Nikons rather woeful DX lens performance over the last 8 or 9 years.
