    Sony RX1

    a full frame compact with a zeiss 35/2 lens !
    while the a-99 is a "yeah yeah...whatever" this thing is a "DAYUMMMMMMMMM !!!!!"

    price is of course outrageous...but that aside...WOW sony WOW !! and to think i was mighty impressed with the rx100 but this one has me salivating !

    Woah 10k posts, congrats Rooz!

    I think it's a great concept, too bad it doesn't have interchangeable lenses and it's only F/2.

    And you thought the camera was expensive, check out those accessory prices!

    Why is the price outrageous?
    Take of the price of a Zeiss f/2 lens ($1000 min) and you're left with a FF camera for less than $2000.
    ... and it's tiny.
    Seems like good value to me.

    good value ? a fixed lens, (f2), camera for $2800 ? lol ahhh...no.
    its almost double what it should be. price will tank to well under $2k pretty soon.

    I can tell you without question, I will own this camera in a years time when the price comes down to earth. I LOVE it.
