I like. Certainly looks compact enough. A built-in flash would have been nice though.

Not sure why I would spend more on this than an entry level Rebel. Only one lens available until October.

Interesting camera and with a large sensor; I will not be buying one though as it does not have a viewfinder.

The problem I have with this and all compact cameras is that though the body is small, the lens isn't,other than the pancake lenses. That's what I like about my S95,it is genuinely small though I realise dynamic range and low light work isn't comparable to a CSC,as a backup it suits my purposes.

No... if I wanted a Canon camera or lenses I could get a similar camera with either a fixed lens or interchangeable lens for less money.
If I wanted a camera with no mirror that could change lenses, I could get a similar camera with two lenses for the same price. Or a far better, or faster, or cheaper, or smaller, or pretty much anythinger camera with more than two possible lenses from a variety of brands. So no... I can't see anybody would be better off with this camera than an alternative. I'm sure it's a good camera, but it is current with cameras released two years ago, and the lens selection will take years to catch up with micro 4/3 as it is now, much less go beyond.

    Yep...I don't get it either.

You can buy an adapter to make your existing EF / EF-S lenses compatible....which means you already have an SLR body....which means ???

I personally like it but not at a price point of $799. Price it at around $500-600 and I might even think about it in comparison to it's competitors. I recently made my girlfriend buy a GF2 for her father for $400 with the 14mm lens (brand new). Even though it's old tech (somewhat), it's a perfect camera for him. I also like the idea of the adaptor but for a price of a 40mm pancake lens, I think I'd instead stick that on my 7D and use it. Overall it be interested if the prices were to drop next year like the Nikon 1 prices did with what people are saying a possible pro level camera with a viewfinder/articulated screen etc expected down the line. So this might not be the camera for me either, but I'm interested to see how much Canon invests in this system and how much of that feeds into the DSLR range.
