I would like to but new camera for using family event.

I have $1000 budget for buying new camera.

As I heard Samsung NX, Sony NEX and Panasonic GF are good cameras.

    Please give me advises.

ps. I saw Samsung NX1000 is released last week. Newest camera is better, right?

It all depends on what you want and how you will be using your camera!
Size is a big thing with these CSC (compact system cameras) and to give you an idea here is a comparison.

For me a viewfinder is essential if it is my only camera and a good choice of lenses.

It depends on whether or not you want a viewfinder and how many lenses of what type you want to buy. Newest may or may not be best. I'm currently liking the Olympus EM5, but it will be a few months before it's available in your price range.

Look at the Panasonic GH2 with 14-140mm lens. A good all round solution which you can build on, adding an external 'bounce' flash followed by the 20mm f1.7 pancake. If you need something a little more compact get a GF3 (or GX1) body (or the version with the X PZ 14-42mm lens) to use when a lighter option is needed, with the added benefit of being able to swap and change lenses between bodies.

I find the NEX system lenses are just too big for the camera bodies and the Samsung range is also limited. Stick with Panasonic or Olympus for the CSC at the moment.
