    Pics from my Oregon trip

I went to Oregon this summer. Documented my whole trip(minus the airports) and had a great time. Was there for a week and took about 650 photos. Finally got around to editing them. Figured I'd share.

    Here we go.

My first day there, we decided to hike Three Fingered Jack. I learned a few things. 1. I'm really out of shape. and 2. Gotta carry less lenses with me on hikes. Luckily I had my Lowepro backpack(mini trekker) or I'd have really been in trouble.

    1. There was a forest fire a few years back, so the first part of the hike has these old burnt trees.

    2. It didn't help that I kept running ahead and up hills to get shots of us hiking.
    50mm @ ISO 100 f/10 1/150s

    3. We had a long way to go and we were only half way.
    50mm @ ISO 100 f/2 1/2000s

    4. The Frozen lake

    5. Wide view from the top
    16-35mm @ 16mm ISO 100 f/8 1/400s

    6. Regular view...I think that's Mt. Hood in the distance.
    50mm @ ISO 100 f/8 1/400s

    7. Maisy taking a nap with Tim at the top.
    50mm @ ISO 100 f/2.8 1/4000s

    8. The kids doing the dishes after dinner.
    50mm @ ISO 6400 f/1.4 1/80s

    9. The kids roasting marshmallows
    35L @ ISO 6400 f/1.4 1/80s

    10. My waking view from our "sleeping cabin". My lady friend's family owns a section of land on the Metolius River(shown in the picture), a house cabin, a party cabin, and about 5 or 6 sleeping cabins like this one. Yes, totally open to the night air. It was weird, but pretty cool.

    13. The view from the pooper. It was actually pretty serene.

    14. The boardwalk leading up to the party cabin. That's what I call it anyway. They call it the "hex cabin" because it's shaped like a hexagon.

    18. Slow shutter shot of the trees lit by our fire 30 seconds. I had no tripod, so no way to compose.

    19. Another 30 second exposure. Used a chair and some books as my tripod.

    20. Somehow the kids roped me into pushing them on the tire swing.

    Adam,

Some nice shots in the series. Based on your view of Mt Hood and '3 Fingered Jack' I am guessing you were somewhere south of Mt. Hood?

to be honest, i was upside down and backwards. had no clue where i was.

if it helps, their cabins are about 5 miles from camp sherman. seemed like about a 15-20 minute drive to jack.

thanks! normally i wouldn't post this many, but it was hard to sum up the trip in just 10 photos.

my favorite one of the trip, i didn't post. it's the one with the grandpa sitting next to the naked baby. you'd have to go through the link to the full gallery to see it. never know who's going to be offended by a naked baby.

Yeah, offended is generally the least of your problems with naked baby photos on the web. Best to keep them in the family album for your own legal protection.
