new optics in SD700 ?!?

Hi!
Anyone knows something about lens used in SD700?
I'm wandering if it's a new optics... First of the Ixus line has used 36-108 (S400-S500), than we had little smaller (and a bit worse) 35-105 (SD30-SD40) and now in SD700 we have 37-111 (strange - SD500 still uses 35-105).

Well, I have double checked that and compared with some other Canon's copacts and it looks new too me.
If so, than why? And what changes that's make?
There is no big difference in range, so it's nether better nor worse in this case.
Anyone has a clue?

BtW, I have not seen any shoots in ISO larger than 50 (only thouse on Canon web pages) and I'm curious about noise level... 7mp with so tiny (in size) sensor and small optics - it's quiet possible, that could have been much more noise than with S500 (5mp), I'm afraid

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but it's the same lense. The focal length is slightly higher (and worse) because of the 7 Megapixels.

Maybe You wright, I've just checked sensor size and it's 1:1.8" instead of 1:1.25" (SD200-SD400).
It looks like the one (sensor) used in S70.

One more thing. The same sensor size had S400 (410) & S500.
SD700 in Europe is called Ixus 700 not "70" like it is in case of SD500 (Ixus 50). It looks like it's more like successor of first (bigger) line of ixus (S400-S500), so I thought, maybe it uses old, bigger (and better to me) optics or it is a new optics just in size of first ixus. I belive the optics in SD30-40 is a bit smaller than in S400-500 and (what I'm sure of) a bit worse in terms of image quality (blurriness ect.)
