    How to reduce photo size?

New owner of the pan. FZ3. I take all pictures at highest setting for size. I would like to decrease the size for e-mailing, but don't know how. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You can resize the pictures right in the camera. If you have the USA (English) manual, see page 88 for instructions.

Thanks for the quick response. I read that the other night but was wondering if it could be done on the computer. I think I am using the Microsoft Photo 9. If I do it on in the camera won't I lose the original picture?

Whatever software that came with the camera is usually able to do this if you choose the "resizing" button. Usually 600 x 480 pixels is good for emailing.

When you resize it in the camera, you are given the option of whether you want to delete the original.

My email browser resizes them for me when I want to email a huge pic.

I take all my photos in 8.2 mega pixel setting. When I click on one to to email it asks me if I want to resize it for emailing. I just click on yes.
