The problem with the Internet, and its' various forms of forums, is that people will treat others in a manner that they would not do "face to face" In the real world, if you are invited to a party and you turn up, you don't expect the door to be slammed in your face Forums are (or should be), no different.

You may be able to turn the other cheek, or "get over it", but like I said...not in my nature.

Does that make you a better man, or just a different man, I guess that is a matter of opinion. Does the man who takes offense automatically become a whiner...again, a matter of opinion.

For my part, I will continue to offer advice to new comers (sometimes with humour) and hope to be treated respectfully in return.

There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone, and threads will sometimes become heated. I don't expect eutopia here. Our "mate" appears to have found new friends on another forum and he appears to be a lot more forgiving with his comments...so good luck to him.

But in respect to the original comment of yours "get over it", the Dixie Chicks summed it up best.
