Video from my A580
This is the first time I tried using the video. I used the Tokina 80-400.

Movie time!
Got my popcorn out ...
Need to find away to keep the neighbor's chatter down, but definitely very nice first-time out example.
A zoom or two might have been cool, too. Way to go, Frank.

Here is another one. I think I did better with this one. These were all hand held.

To Florida and... beyond!
So, Frank...
How did Florida go with the 80-400, overall? Was it the be-all/end-all lens you had hoped it would be?
I mean, you had "the camera" hooked to a super wide range telephoto... best of both worlds, for about a grand. Did it work out?

I had a great time. The lens was great. I didn't get any good bird images. You can check my Flickr site for all the images I took. I just got my Tamron lens back. I didn't try it yet but they even fixed the loose rubber grip so it should be as good as new. I will get ship your lens back on Monday.
Thanks again

I had to come home to get a good shot of a Egret.

I'm glad it worked out
I love having the equipment returned from its visit to the repair depot. I am still one trip shy, I think, from what i have on hand. I am noticing the thumbwheel issue, occasionally, from the a850!!! That just stinks.
The image of the egret is excellent.

The AF on the A580 is great. I was sitting in my car when this Egret came from my left. I was able to lock focus and snap off 4 shots.
Thanks

Isn't it nice...
Isn't it nice to have a lens that does not shred its focusing gears when you take a shot? Quality is heavier.
