AVCHD videos aren't hard to view
In the Panasonic ZS camera reviews here, it says viewing and editing AVCHD videos is difficult, as is finding them on the sd card. However, I disagree with parts of that. To find the videos on the SD card you have to go 4 sub directories deep. That is a nuisance but not a huge problem.
Likewise, playing AVCHD videos isn't that hard. They play just fine with Windows media player v12 on my Win 7 PC. They won't play with Windows media player v9 on my Win XP PC, but they will play with VLC player which is a free download.: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
As for editing AVCHD videos, I don't know about that because I don't edit my videos. But I think the reviews here should explain that playing AVCHD videos isn't bad at all with VLC or Windows media player v12.
