    TapATalk not working properly?

I was happily using TapATalk to read this forum on my iPhone before the recent upgrade, but it isn't working properly anymore. It always tells me that there are no new threads to view, despite the fact that there are, I'm logged in, and I can access all of the forums manually from the app. I've tried deleting an recreating the account in TapATalk, but it hasn't helped.

    Anyone else seeing this?

Can you try again? I updated the plug-in to the latest version.

I was using it yesterday and it seemed just fine. Maybe you should try re-starting your phone, that make my apps work better sometimes.

It didn't work just now - it appears to think that all posts are already read, so my 'latest' page says that there's nothing to read. I'll try logging out and back in.

Edit: That's weird. After backing out to another forum and coming back here, this post showed up properly as new. I'll see if it gets better over the course of the day.

In any case, thanks for the quick responses.

It still doesn't seem to be working properly. As before, it looks like it thinks that all messages are already read when I visit. Since I think that this forum marks everything read after a 'visit', I wonder if TapATalk is somehow thinking that I've visited twice, or is timing out or something. I only see this behavior when I use TapATalk and not when using a browser.

Working perfectly for me. It shows the same unread posts as I see on the screen.

For iPhone users there have been at least two Tapatalk app updates recently. Have you updated and synced your phones?

I update my apps early and often, and there are no updates available right now. I'm on version 1.11.1, which appears to be the latest (just checked). Other forums are working just fine with no changes - only the forum update here broke it.

I haven't synced in a while, so I'll try that. Can't imagine how it would affect the app behavior though.

Edit: more and more, I think it's an issue of some timeout. If I visit soon enough after somebody posts (I think), I see new posts. For instance, after posting the above I exited the app, did some research at the App Store, and came back in. I saw two new posts, including mine. When I visited the first time to check this thread and post, I saw nothing.

Is there some per-user timeout that controls what it means for a post to be 'new'? Maybe mine is set for something like 5 mins

Reported at the TapATalk support forum: http://tapa.tk/forum/showthread.php?t=5762

They're usually pretty responsive, so I'll see what they have to say.
