Fuji X100 - if only I had the money

Had a quick look at this review...image quality is apparently superb.

    http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/photo...3/FUo2CdMPAYc/

Dont quite believe the following though:

"Noise is noticeable only by its almost complete absence throughout the ISO range of 100-12,800"

However, the picture gallery (though taken in good light) seem to back up the good ISO performance...

    Good back up camera

Absent indeed. What a stupid statement to make and a pretty poorly executed review imo.

The X-100 is a pretty awesome camera. Lots of cool gadgetry and great image quality. $1200 is a fair price for it, but if you are looking for a cheaper pocket camera look at the Olympus XZ-1. Best image quality I have seen out of a P&S and very impressive lens on that camera.

    Another review here:

Seems like a fun camera, but I think they went a bit overboard with the price..

It's funny how they come up with that old shape. People would think you steal a camera from a musuem....

I was about to post the same thing. There is a section for Fuji and that's where this thread should be.

that shape is what is immediately appealing to me and i would guess many others. lol

my take on this thread is that its a camera many of us really like or at at least interested in so i dont see an issue. perhaps we could discuss it in the lounge i guess which is where marius originally posted about it.

If that's the case there may as well be just two forums one for DSLR and one for P&S or better still just one forum for "Cameras".

It also doesnt take much to make a few mouse clicks to get to the proper forum/thread if people are that interested...

Jeff broke the forums down into categories for a reason
