Unknown Lens
My friend gave me this lens. I thought it was for a Minolta camera but it don't fit on my Sony. I tried to do a search but could not find what camera it fits.

Yeah, the MC/MD mount is what was used prior to the introduction of the Alpha-Mount in 1985. I do have a camera that it will fit on. LOL

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

I'm sure that's not a Minolta lens.
Aetna Rokunar are brand names for a company that put it's name on much 3rd party glass.
Generally speaking the lenses were not that well regarded although some are quite passable.
The fact that it carries the MC mark probably mean the mount is Minolta, can't tell without seeing the bottom.

the lock notch seems too far over for minolta...
