Grain in Lightroom 3.3 with D7000???

So consider this a test shot page for the D7000- This will show the ISO performance... as for my issue, I think I am just being weird! So no worries!

Stating the obvious. Your focus point had shifted for the iso 1600 shot.

I missed what you thought the issue was.
Do you think LR3.3 is more grainey? I am finding it renders noise
greater then when I was using LR1. Still trying to find a nice balance
between sharpening and noise when using 2010 process version.

Are you using the noise reduction feature? It actually works in LR3 unlike previous versions.

Sorry if this went ot Gsusmaniac. Been using the NR sliders, overall find
luminous quickly takes away sharpness. Been through many tutorials and
forums on sharpening and nr trying to get better grasp on it.
Just been so accustomed to LR1 it will take a little time to get the balance I am looking for.

Yeah I was feeling like lightroom was more grainy than the Nikon Transfer.

However, I havent tried the NR feature yet. I will have to study up and watch some tutorials. I am also extremely picky and zoom to 1:1 to look at the picture. I just thought there was a lot of noise and it wasn't very sharp.

But from what I have been reading I need to adjust my shooting style to help with using the high MP Sensor. Even thought I am not sure how I need to change yet. guess I need to read about that too!

I do the same zooming 1:1, and it looks completely different than before.
Plenty of you tube, Kloskowski vids and more the tutorials out there.
You are the only person to really bring up the issue, I thought it was just me.
I find myself utilizing the mask slider and then moving up the sharpness to find proper balance.
Honestly I do not feel I ever get back to the overall sharpness I used to get.
