    Rose Parade - The Underbelly

When people think of the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, they usually think of all the "pretty" floats, like this:

But there is another side of the Rose Parade most people do not see as they watch all the floats and marching bands on TV ...

Lightbulb Whatever floats your boat ...

You ought to witness the Chicago "Saint Patrick's Day Parade." Beer bottles galore. Heck, they ought to collect them from the prior year and make a friggin' float out of them the next.

A "brew master's special" ... or "Beer Bottle Float" or something of the kind.

They did show some horse pooper scoopers on the TV broadcast. I think it was an accident.

Darin, I'm always appalled at the amount of discarded litter these days.
Yes, we have it too and discarded Bubble Gum is costing a fortune to clear up. I blame you "Yanks" for this.
I was taught to take it home if there is no Litter Bin available. Old habits die hard.

Was that an unofficial Car Parking Tout?

It is anoying when you do a walk or climb and get to the peak and find discarded cans, packets etc.
They carried the stuff up full; surley its easier to carry it down empty !

    Lightbulb Mother Earth

I am telling you, do not sweat the details. Mother Earth knows how to "recycle" stuff. Just look at what she did with the dinosaurs. Heck, they are still fighting over it at the gas pumps.

A little extra carbon footprint ... yep, "diamonds!"

Sorry, trash gets its day ... with or without our help.
