Tamron Adaptall -2
My friend just gave me a Tamron Adaptall-2 Konica mount. What is it? It don't fit on my camera and my lenses don't fit on it.

Good for nothing. LOL He just bought a building that was a photo store. I will be doing all the rewiring there when they renovate to make it a pizzeria and deli. He has more things he didn't go through yet. I seen this lens that looks like it has two aperture adjustments on it. He said he has to see if the owner comes back for it if not I could have that too.

Adaptall
Frank, the Konica Adaptall 2 adapter ring can be removed from the lens and a Minolta Adaptall 2 adapter ring can replace it. Tamron quit selling the adapter rings for most of the current big manufacturers, so Adaptall is pretty much a dead end, unless you already have the adapter.
The lens is entirely MANUAL ... with focus and aperture control at your MANUAL discretion. Witht the correct ring, you could use it on almost any mount out there.
You will have to interpret your light-metering from what the camera's meter tells you, as there is no electrical aperture data from this kind of lens to the camera's light computer.
Use "M" Mode on the a100.
My Adaptall lenses are a good bunch, but it takes some work to learn how to use them. If you do not want it, send it along ... I'll try it out ... I have the adapter ring.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Don, I think it is the adapter ring. He didn't give me the lens yet. I will let you know when I get it. I will take a picture of what I have and post it.
Thanks
