    That picture was also in A mode (not Auto). I didnt choose the Iso or the shutter speed.

    And with the noise reduction i added some (at least i dont think it was much) because when i was playing with that setting (on IPhoto) it removed her little vain's in her forehead.

    I could do that if i had a tripod.
    I also need to know what are the most common needed and best accessories that i should get

    That why i use manual..so i know where the numbers are........iso 100-400.......shutter above 100 if possible........ap as needed



    but really ..use the flash...the onboard thru the lens does a pretty good job..


    I'll be taking pics of twin grandkids any day now

    manfrotto 3221wn tripod + a head, many to chose from.
    Uv filter (protects lens too)
    circular polarizing filter (for water or glass shots that have reflections)
    extra batteries

    Looks good. You need to check the histogram the second image you blew out the whites. Where do you live? The Whooping Crane in the third image is not a common bird.

    Yeah i saw that after i posted it, ill fix it.
    I think this one looks better


    And i live in Central Florida, there EVERYWHERE here lol
