Definately. Meter off the eyes aswell which will overexpose the rest of the shot but who cares. getting them to look up at you is the best way that way the diffused lig bouncing off the ceiling fills their eyes with light. It also depnds on the kid. Alex's eyes are darker and are very difficult to shoot, i find i need alot of light. light coloured eyes like zac especially are easy as.

tomorrow the camera will get a serious workout, i will make a bounce card tonight and will shoot wide open see if i can use some of the morning light in the house to assist.
never thought of metering off the eyes, will definately give that a go.

New toy time.
I scored a Black Rapid RS5 strap cheap so I thought I'd give it a go. I know that generally people are in love with them or hate them with a passion but I must say after just simply attaching it to my camera, putting it over my shoulder and trying a couple of practice shots I'm thinking that I'm going to be in the "in love" camp.

Long time no see.. And what better way to say "hello" again, than with some new gear?!?
70-200 VRII !!!!!

No Rooz, calm down, I'm only kidding... It's just the 70-200 VRII thermos...

KIDDING! It really is the 70-200 VRII *and* a thermos

The shop I bought the lens from had the thermos, so I just had to have it aswell The 70-200 VRII looks the business, and feels like it too. Can't wait to use it and see how it compares to the canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II, 'cause that was outstanding!

The box is still sitting unopened on the floor beside my desk. That's this evenings project.

I have a D70, best flash sync than any other camera out there.
