Well, if you insist:

And if you want a very exhaustive review and more gear porn photos of them you can go here:

For the most part I have tried to give some sort of review of each part of my gear in some form or another on this site. Usually its an initial impression, then follow up posts with the gear in use, etc. They certainly aren't formal reviews like the Radiopopper one I did (that one is more than just a review though) but there are reviews out there that I could probably piece together and get more in this thread if you want K1W1.
Nikon D300 | MB-D10 | Nikkor 12-24/4 | Nikkor 50/1.8 | Nikkor 70-200/2.8 VRI | Sigma 18-50/2.8 | SB-800 | SB-80DX (x4) | Radiopopper JrX Studio |

Considering we are "reviewing" gear not necessarily tied to the Nikon system, does it make sense that this is a Sticky in the Nikon DSLR forum? I mean, we have Pentax and Canon guys posting their gear in here?
Should this thread be moved into the General DSLR Discussion forum?

Yes But seriously: I suggested this thread because I want to drool over NIKON gear, and stuff nikon owners have. I have no desire to have
to flip through pages of sony, pentax, olympus etc. That's atleast how I feel about it.
For anyone looking for a cheap remote for their camera, try the phottix cleon..

(d700 + 50mm f1.4)
Got mine from here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Hong-Kong-Supplies
Great range, no need to point the remote at the camera like you have to with the sh*t IR remotes, costs next to nothing, can be
used as a wired remote or wireless. The part that connects to the camera can be mounted on the hot shoe of the camera.
The wired remote doesn't requires batteries to operate, so if you run out of juice on the wireless remote you're not totally f'ed.
This is the "cleon I". There's a "cleon II" version available aswell. And there's a "plato" that uses AAA batteries.
Bad things? You need a screwdriver to get to the batteries (who had this bright idea?) and a few times the camera has freezed.
But that's fixed by turning the camera off/on again. This has happened on both the D300 and the D700.
Had it for about 2 years. Getting the cleon II as soon as the batteries run out.

Of course, but you can't look for logic. People start general topics in the brand specific forums all the time.

Lucky for you no one has posted about any of those brands

Yeah, that's still open to interpretation. I understand bodies and lenses, maybe even a little bit of the lighting category, but tripods... Seriously? How is this Nikon-centric? Filters? Accessories? Like camera bags and such? Those are designed to be universal.
This forum needs a gear section where people can talk about all this stuff. The general DSLR forum is way too "general" for things like this.
Nikon D300 | MB-D10 | Nikkor 12-24/4 | Nikkor 50/1.8 | Nikkor 70-200/2.8 VRI | Sigma 18-50/2.8 | SB-800 | SB-80DX (x4) | Radiopopper JrX Studio |

It's really all about the color of the ring on your lens, not photography. I know that's why I come to this forum. Photography is lame. Colored rings are what it's all about.

on another note i think chasing people away by flaming their brand is in bad taste. just my 2 cents.
Because it's not logical. If this thread were only for Nikon products it would be logical. But to start a review thread that allows everything, but turn away people that post about a camera bag but happen to own a different brand of camera is dumb. Does it matter what it says on the camera inside the bag?
You can go back to what what section of the forum this thread is in all day, but the bottom line is people post in sections based on the gear in their bag, not the topic of their post. Are people with different brand cameras not allowed to post in the Nikon SLR forum at all? Does the attitude come with the Nikon or is it a preexisting condition?
This is all just really silly and petty. The point of the forum is photography. Remember that thing you do with the camera? If you want to whine about people posting general gear in a thread that allows general gear then I'll leave you to it.
