They are pre ordering till oct..

One of the members on another forum got their shipping notification that their camera would be delivered on the 10th.
I would say that is pretty definite, knowing these shipping companies. 
We will know soon enough, I suppose, when they go "whoopie!"

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Yep ... shipped and received
The α33 is in the customer's hands ... the α55 will be along in October. It won't be in my bag, but someone will want it in theirs.
I have to admit, if I were in the market for a camcorder ... the new NEX-VG10HD looks like the winning choice. Unfortunately, I still am not having much use for "cinematography" in my work. When and if it comes along, I know where to toss the money.
