    Arrow G3 external flash

    Hi folks,

I have an older flash (Vivitar zoom thyristor 285) that I'd like to use on my Canon G3. Anyone know if this is possible without damaging the camera.

Any off-camera adapters, etc. would be OK if I knew what to look for.

    Thanks much, all.

I think the G3 can take any standard flash unit.

There is a concern about voltage. I currently use an old Canon Speedlite 199A on my G3. I believe there are several websites that have lists of voltage levels of various flashes. Here is one link I found:
    http://contaxg.com/archive/articles/flash.htm
    make that two:

It's not the best one but a search under voltage, compatible, flash and camera would probably turn something up.

There are cases where damage has occurred. Please research it before you try.
