Decided to visit the zoo Saturday. Most of the animals were in their indoor cages as it has been hot and dry. Still, Po, our 9 month old panda is cute and playful. So is our 13 month old Giraffe. Sometime next month our two Sumatran Tiger cubs will be on display.
I was going to title this cows on the beach but that's not strictly correct.
Whilst on holiday in Northumberland north east coast UK last week I was intending to get plenty of beach shots with castles of which there are many in that area.
I was walking to Dunstanburgh castle through a herd of cows-it is a 1 mile walk by the rocky shore. On the return trip the cows I had passed through had wandered onto the rocks by the look of it trying to find something grassy to eat.

There was more than enough grass there as you can see from this not very exciting cow picture with castle in background. Quite what they were attracted to on the rocks I don't
know .
You are clearly more observant than me when it comes to distinguishing between cows and bulls !

Might be the salt that attracts them to the shoreline.
I suppose it could also be the green stuff on the rocks algae, lichen,whatever,but I wouldn't have thought that would be much good for a cow's digestion.We need a cow expert only this is of course a photography forum.
