    yeah, the quantaray isnt the best of lenses, its big benefit is the 'utility' style. Its done me good so far, but I want to start improving the quality of the photography - ive done some local courses and tried all sorts to get better at using the camera, composing, learning the shutter/aperture links etc

    Can only afford maximum the one lens at the moment, hence the lens or flash conundrum. Its an expensive hobby thats for sure! haha although it is a lot of fun!

    Don't forget there a shedload of old minolta glass out there.
    You could pick up a 50mm f1.7 for around a 100 and really put your new flash to work. You could resell it and probably not lose much in the process.

    thats a good idea, I could do both that way, I will have a look on ebay

    Anywhere else to keep eyes open for?
