Did you finally graduate to a SONY for Christmas?
Yes, we all know you have been "GOOD" all year long and have finally gotten that DSLR you have wanted since you saw it last Spring. 
You have had it a few days, now, so tell us, how is that SONY working for you?

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Half of the 3.2kg(7.1lbs) combo was put under the tree, by my better half

Had you said "more that half" I would conclude the BH contributed the Bigma
"almost half" I would plump for the A700
As it is, I'm stumped.
