    Canon G11 extra lenses

I see you can buy a lens adapter and use different filters such as an Ultraviolet UV and macro filter.
My question is how well does the tube adapter work and does the filters help with making the photos any better?
If not maybe just using something like photoshop would render better photos than using filters.
Just curious asI see a few packages on ebay for filters and I have never used filters on a p&s just on my DSLR.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Adaptor works fine. Lenses are so-so. The only filter I would ever use is a graduated neutral density. No need for UV filter as that only affects film, but might be handy against sand and water at the beach.
