Samigon Adaptor?

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum, and I am new to the whole slr world. I purchased an A200, and bought a lens. I am not 100% sure, but i think it is the Samigon 1:2.8 135mm.

If thats not it, I can try to give as much info as i can, but it does not fit the camera. I was thinking maybe if there are adaptors that can hold the lens i would get that. My question is does something like this exist.

If you could please help, I would really appreciate it.

I am not familar with that lens. It definitely sounds like it's not a Sony alpha mount lens, so you most likely won't be able to use it. Why did you buy this lens? Do you have the Sony DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens that came with the A200?

thanks for the reply, I do have the one that came in the kit, but i found this at a flea market for 10 bucks, so i figured why not pick it up. Since it didn't fit, I was wondering if there was a way to make it fit.

Do you have a recommendation for a good lens around $150?

The SONY AF 50mm f/1.8 DT should give you good light range indoor and out. It is reasonably priced and takes decent enough portrait work.

You might also consider the TAMRON AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD for that price. It seems to work best on the SONY DSLR. It will give you telephoto, which you are lacking. It is not a miracle lens, but should get you started with your BASIC training.

It should also be okay, but I have no experience with it. It is not a lens I would have personally bought. The 70-300mm (<- click here) has a usable MACRO function, which makes it a bit more attractive.

I'd second the 70-300mm. It's a great addition to the kit lens for that price range if you need the extra reach.

I too agree with the 70-300. More than half of my images are taken with it.

thank you all so much for your help, i just ordered the Tamron lense you reccomended.

Since I am new to this, are there any other accessories i should be picking up with this? Are there any resources where i can learn more about the camera as well?
