Yup, Nikon lenses are the girl at the prom with low self esteem and a little too much punch.
If you see an F-mount lens and aren't afraid to manually focus (and it isn't a new one without an aperture ring) go for it. I've thought about getting an FD to Nikon and EOS to Nikon adapter, and then replacing my FD lenses with Nikons so I can use them on either body.
