    Bad News...

    My a 350, which I absolutely loved, got stolen last week. I've been sick over it. I was just wondering if there is anyone who has recently upgraded to the +30 models and has or know of someone who has an a 350 that they might be willing to part with.

    Are you not able to find open box models of it at local retailers?

    Sorry to hear that this is the second camera theft in a week. I am going to try to get insurance or a gun. They will have to fight me for it if they try to take it from me.

    Yeah I can find used/ open box models, but I wanted to check with this community first to first to see if someone wanted to get rid of one and I could help them out. I've really learned a lot for this forum and if I can help someone else out here, then that's a plus.

    I've got renter's insurance through State Farm and might be able to get it covered under that policy, but since it wasn't stolen out of my house I don't know...

    Also since I've got to buy a new camera anyways, I was thinking about upgrading. I've been reading this morning about the 850, but It's lack of live view and tilting screen is a bit of a turn-off. That was one of my favorite frivolous features on the 350. I'm really drawn by the large sensor in the 850, but have been happy with a lot of the photos that I've captured with the 350. looks like I'll be doing a lot of research in the upcoming weeks while I try and sell the prints that I have in order to replace or upgrade.

    Renters insurance should cover it. Doesn't have to be stolen from your house. Can even be stolen out of your car.
    That's the way it is here in Canada anyway.
    When my car got broken into and my iPod and GPS was stolen, the police told me that home-owners/renters insurance would cover it. Auto insurance people told me the same.

    Sorry to hear that! Hope insurance can cover something.

    I have a A300 that I will be selling (soon). The sensor needs some cleaning (pretty evident on a sky at F/8).
