    Sold all my Sony stuff....almost!

So the only item I have left is my Sigma flash.

    Saturday: a700 + VG + 28-135mm + spare battery = $1,540
    Sunday: 50mm f/1.4 = $320
    Monday: 70-300mm G SSM = $750

Still haven't decided which way to go yet. Temporarily got the D90 to hold me over while I decide. Video seems pretty cool so far!

What made you decide to sell all of your Sony gear?

I want video. Trying to decide to either get the D300s or the 7D.
I can get body alone D300s for $1,850 and body alone 7D for $1,930.

Lightbulb Changing brands is common at the "low end" ... there's no investment

Yeah. kind of reminds me of what happened when the α700 first came out ... and there was a migration to SONY to get the "Super SteadyShot" inside. Heck, it made my decision agonizingly easy. Still does.

There are those who want the bells & whistles. Then there are those who would like serious improvement. Then there are those who are just sticks in the mud and say ... be patient.

SONY has something in the pipe ... so if you already have the "serious" glass, waiting might just be the real pay-off. Anyway, go take some pictures and put something on that Compact Flash or SONY Memory Stick. That's why you have the camera, right?

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

Yeah...I make everyone pay top dollar for my used toilet paper!
It comes down to economics now....wifey is pretty pissed when I mentioned the price of the 7D and D300s body alone. Which means if i get either, I would have to cheap out and get a crappy lens till I can sneak in something better later on.
    I may be able to get the D300s and a 18-105mm or 35mm f/1.8 for under $2,400.
If I get the 7D, I'm not sure what budget lens to stick on it till I can sneak a better one on it later!
Wifey seems to think I have to spend some money off the sale proceeds on her and the son...hence I'm not able to spend everything I make on the sale!
