    re: lights 4 videos w/SX10 - have 4, suggestions 4 placement/use?

(In reference to my earlier thread.)

I found some lights that we already had. Here's a shot of me at the piano, with two of the lights in use. (Click the image to see another one with a little more negative exposure compensation.)

I had to underexpose it approximately -2/3 stop. (I used the self timer, so I was not in the frame at the time the shutter button was pressed.)

Now, here's a couple pics including the lights, with the lights turned off... You can also see the camera tripod in the first pic. I also have 2 more of the lights on the left side of the pic, but right now don't really have a place to mount them that I can think of, and also I don't know where would be the best place to put them. That one yellow light really does help the overall light levels - compared to just the standard ceiling lights, it gives me a ~3-stop increase in light, which really helps. The height of the makeshift stand it is on is adjustable, although I have it probably within a few inches or so of its lowest reasonable setting. As for the light clamped in the box on the other piano (which I won't be using), it has a 100W incandescent bulb in it, but I do have a 70W Halogen bulb I could put in if it would be better.

and with the lights turned on...

Also I probably am thinking I'd want to use a camera angle similar to the one earlier in this post with me in them, but I also could consider something like one of these:

I also tried one with the camera's tripod mounted on top of the piano, looking down at the keyboard with me also in the frame, but I didn't really like it too well.

I'm basically wanting to record some more music videos to post to my youtube page. The ones there are at least a year old now, and were recorded with the Canon S1 IS. (I will be recording the current batch with the Canon SX10 IS.)

The main reason for needing the lights is so I can record at night, which often may be the only time I can record. (The living room where the piano is is at the opposite corner of the house from where the bedrooms are, so I would be able to do some video recording in the wee hours of the morning.) Do you think with the 4 lights (2 of which are pictured) I should have enough light to be able to shoot decent video with the SX10 with minimal image noise?

Also, is there anything else I should be concerned about in the shots? I probably will make sure the piano I'm using is completely cleared off, or should I put everything back on it like in this pic?

Or, is this not the place to be asking for suggestions for a makeshift video recording studio, even though I am using a still camera's video function to do it?
