What's with the bright dots?

I was out at sunrise taking a few pics and all of my long exposures have these random colored dots. What is going on?

stars maybe? seems like it cause it looks like a slight start trail.

the red dots are hot pixels. you can probably get rid of it with high exposure NR. I believe LR automatically maps out hot pixels too.

The white dots in the sky are stars. I checked some pics from my brother-in-law to make sure.
This is the first time that I've tried such long exposures. I'll try again with the long exposure NR turned on. Thanks.

I think you're right. It is an east facing beach.
