    Kodak article

    Thanks for the article Jeff.

As relatively late as Kodak was to come out with its digital cameras, they've done a good job of regaining share," said analyst Shannon Cross of Cross Research in Short Hills, N.J. "I think Kodak will continue to be very successful in the mass market. It will be harder for them to compete when you move upscale."
Remind me never to hire Cross Research, as they obviously have never heard of the Pro Series, or the original D40 and 50 series in the early/mid 90's.

It's hard to believe what brand recognition can do. HP proves that out.

Or the DCS 520, the DSLR that started it all... for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, it was a 2MP EOS-1 based body in 1998 which at $15,000 (I think) was the first DSLR widely affordable by newsies and such.
