Well, I gave up on "little" printers and went with a big dog (EPSON Stylus Pro 3800) to save some money in ink. It reduced cost to about a 1/4 of what it was ... and that still is not cheap!

I am glad my friend prints all my images. His company prints all the school and sports pictures. He said I could go up one day to check it out. I will take some pictures when I go.

I'm fortunate in using an i560 - the ink is dirt cheap for older printers.
For photo printing however, you cannot beat the online services. Even the cost of ink and paper (not even including wastage) is more expensive than they are - economies of scale!
