Sony 50mm f/1.8

I picked up a Sony 50mm f1.8 yesterday. I tried two Minolta 50mm f1.7 but one was really soft and the other needed repairs. I figured for $30 more I got a new lens with a warranty. I guess I need at least one Sony lens!

Here are a few of my first shots.

First two are pretty interesting. The third is a bit too tight. I would ease up on the framing and take a step back (the hair got cut on her left side)

So how does the 50mm SAM F/1.8 stack up?

I was surprised that the shot came out at all. She only stopped moving for a moment.
So far I think it's a pretty good lens. It is capable of really sharp images but it depends a lot on the idiot behind the camera!

I took 20 pictures the other day with my Minolta 50mm and only got a few good sharp images. I rely on the SSS to help and it doesn't help as much as I need it to.LOL I need to try to not move the camera until I am done with the shot. I might get a mono pod to try and help me. Nice shots
