Lightroom???
I watched half of the Lynda.com Lightroom 2 DVD and then gave LR another try. I gave up after a hour of trying to make some simple edits to one of my images. I need to watch the DVD again and keep trying. I just cannot get a grip on it. I will keep trying.

What are you trying to do? I find that I usually don't need to do too many edits. Maybe a slight curves adjustment but that's about it.

I am just trying to learn the program. There is so much to learn.

I mostly find myself playing with exposure/contrast, maybe clarity or a bit of colour balance in lightroom.

For me, I just learned by playing with the sliders and seeing what they did. If you're familiar with Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop, then it's really similar. Just start off basic and then slowly advance into the many features of Lightroom. I still find new things all the time. You'll get the hang of it!

Frank, once you import the image to LR, try any one of those presets on the left and see how it changes the sliders to create the preset. Based on that you can kinda learn what each sliders do.
Also the Lightroom Killer Tips website has a bunch of free preset you can download as well.
The Adjustment Brush, Spot Removal, ND Filter and Crop tools are all pretty easy to use.
