Smile Wow I impressed myself! LOL!

As some of you know I played alot this summer taking swimming and diving photos. I shot some photos of my friends kids. She loved them and had them blown up to huge poster size pictures. I have to say for the first time in my life I was speechless when I saw them! I couldn't believe they were my pictures! Believe it or not I haven't really printed any out yet so I have only looked at them on the PC or I did about 50 pics for our team wall. I felt they were a little dark. (Used walgreens 1 hour service)
The detail was amazing! The water droplets clear and crisp, the back ground was slightly blurred. I know there is a name for that....
Even when my kids looked at the photos and our dive coach I think she was shocked! So now I am looking my my kids photos to see what I can blow up like that!
    Loving this 50D Canon camera!

    That is Great
Compliments like that will boost your own confidence and inspire you to learn more. Now you can see what others liked about a particular photo and build on that. It's your job to remember the composition & shot settings, but be able to adjust to different conditions on another day
Glad to hear you are enjoying that new camera.

Thanks everyone! I think I was just in such shock when I saw the colors and the crispness of the photo. Truely it was the camera! I do have a good eye for timing, always have but all this other stuff is so new to me and I am doing a lot of experiementing and playing. I am planning to take some classes offered near me over the winter.
I did just order on photo of my daughter that I really do love. Hope it turns out as nice!

Printing is expensive, but its so worth it. No display will ever compare to a print, i always get much more "WoWs" from prints then from online.

Findin cheap/reliable frames is the hardest part really, but im slowly trying to cover my whole place up in pictures : D
