It would be nice to see a mighty leg up on the competition and that marketshare a little better distributed ... and SONY may be better positioned to unhinge them than anyone.

Look, I did not create the optical laws of the Universe ... I simply learned to deal with them.
Remember: It is usually the GLASS, not the camera (except for moving to Full Frame), that gives you the most improvement in your photography.

i agree, it would be nice. unfortunately sony dropped the ball. maybe the "R" will see them actually on track to do just that. i have my doubts, but would be happy if i was proven wrong. anything, (by anyone), that improves the performance of dslr is fine by me.
